Should i take this college class?

I wanted to ask about a class in the Gender and Womans Studies (GWS) area called Media and the Sexes. I was suggested this class by one of the schools counselors, basically as a filler class. I dont really know anything about the GWS area, or the class. I cant find much information, and i wondered if anyone knew anything about it. also, is it a class mostly for girls, or will there be guys in there too?
