Can you see any disadvantages in this expanded competition?

I think the addition of GWS will cheapen the AFL a little. We went from a surburban competiton with cross town rivalries, to a national enterprise worth millions. There's nothing wrong with that, but I think that if you are going to expand you need to go where the passion is, not just the dollars. GWS will build up a rivalry with the Swans, but how many people in Western Sydney are going to care?
