Tips on regaining my one rep max please.?

If things go to plan I will be gaining an apprentice to start working out with me.I want to put on a good show but recently haven't been able to bench 300 pounds anymore like i used to 2 months ago.When i reached 300 i could only rep 225 once on the way up, 3 reps after i lifted something heavier.Now I can only bench 275 but i can constantly rep 225 seven times.I know I been obsessively benching so im going to relax my whole body at least until tuesday(5 nights of rest).Other than that what can i do to get back up to lifting heavy again.? Should i drench my body in aloe?Drink tea?Take epsom salt baths?Does any of that stuff actually work? Thanks for the help I really want to make a good impression.
