What do economists think of the minimum wage floor that most developed countries have - good or bad?

We've exported so much of our management and manufacturing know-how. I think it's essential that we also export our labor standards: safe workplace, minimum wage, and humane work hours. Otherwise international opportunists will undermine everything America has achieved.
